SCiNet Corporation has initiated the installation of new assembly workshops for the mass production of its innovative production mini-plants inside mobile containers. These mobile production units are intended for developing regions and offer all kinds of products and basic services.

The mobile production mini-plants that are mounted in these assembly workshops are intended for developing countries, offering therein all kinds of products and basic services: from food preparation or household goods, footwear or clothing articles to water purification and primary health care. Each container includes the machines, wiring, piping and necessary installations to function with autonomy.
 
Once the container arrives at its destination, the source of electric power, water, etc. is connected and from that moment on the mini-plant is ready to begin production. Power generators or photovoltaic panels may also be incorporated in areas where a reliable power grid is not available.

The production mini-plants in mobile containers created by SciNet Corporation comprise the only system in the world that can supply basic necessity articles and services at a price as low as one dollar per day. Scinet Corporation has developed 700 mini-plant models capable of producing up to 20,000 different articles. In order to offer an idea of its potential, with only two operators, a mini-plant can produce daily more than 17,000 loaves of bread or purify more than 60,000 liters of water.

With the creation of its mini-plant assembly workshops in eleven countries, SciNet Corporation can meet the current great demand for these factories in mobile containers, which amounts to 120,000 units per year in 240 countries. These are governments that wish to supply their populations or to favor the development of the less industrialized regions therein. In this sense, the assembly workshops will be installed chiefly in areas where the mini-plants and the articles produced thereby will be. In this way, the workshops will use manpower, raw materials and local suppliers, in order to boost the economic activity of these developing areas.

Furthermore, all the assembly plants will operate connected to the World Trade System of SciNet Corporation, a database that provides access to 60 million referrals to merchandise, raw materials, products and services worldwide.

La finalidad principal del informe es proporcionar a los países, los organismos donantes, las organizaciones internacionales y otras entidades la información que necesitan para ayudarles a tomar decisiones de política y de financiación.

Ofrece un programa de actuación para los países en todas las fases de desarrollo y propone formas en que la comunidad internacional puede apoyar mejor los esfuerzos de los países de ingresos bajos, para que logren una cobertura universal y mejoren los resultados sanitarios.

El informe se hace llegar también a un público más amplio, desde universidades, hospitales docentes y escuelas, pasando por los periodistas, hasta el público general, en definitiva, a cualquier persona interesada profesional o personalmente en la salud internacional.

La Fundación SCiNet distribuye el Informe sobre Desarrollo Humano 2012. Los apremiantes desafíos globales de sostenibilidad y equidad deben tratarse de forma conjunta y, al mismo tiempo, identifica aquellas políticas a nacionales y globales que podrían dar un impulso a la consecución de estos objetivos vinculados.

Según el informe, es necesaria una acción decidida en ambos frentes para lograr mantener los avances en desarrollo humano obtenidos recientemente por la mayoría de los países más pobres del mundo, tanto para el bien de futuras generaciones como para las actuales. Informes anteriores han demostrado que los estándares de vida de la mayoría de países han mejorado y que, de hecho, desde hace décadas tienden hacia la convergencia. Sin embargo, el Informe 2011 prevé un retroceso alarmante de dichas tendencias en caso de que el deterioro medioambiental y las desigualdades sociales sigan intensificándose, con una previsión de que los países menos desarrollados invertirán esta tendencia y se alejarán de nuevo de los patrones globales antes de 2050.

El Informe muestra cómo los más desfavorecidos del mundo son los que más sufren la degradación medioambiental, también en su entorno personal más inmediato, y la desproporcionada falta de poder político, dificultando aún más que la comunidad internacional llegue a un consenso sobre los cambios de políticas globales necesarios.

A pesar de ello, el Informe también destaca el enorme potencial que tienen las sinergias positivas para la conquista de un mayor equidad y sostenibilidad, especialmente a nivel nacional. El Informe enfatiza en el derecho de contar con un medio ambiente saludable, la importancia de integrar la equidad en las políticas medioambientales y la importancia fundamental de la participación pública y la responsabilidad de los cargos oficiales. El Informe 2011 concluye planteando propuestas de nuevos enfoques más sólidos para tomar de medidas de control del desarrollo global, tanto económico como medioambiental, y afirma que ambos son esenciales y alcanzables.
